The only thing we’ve all got to worry about right now is the rate at which Joe Gomez picks up injuries. Please, please oh football Gods, do not let this turn into another Agger.

Gomez was signed for nearly the same as the Dane as Charlton Athletic let him go for just £6m. Early injuries definitely hampered his progress, but the England international has come back stronger than ever.

A broken leg picked up against Burnley means that the defender will miss another six weeks and continue a worrying trend of looking the part and then picking up a broken bone somewhere.
