Because of his massive move away from Anfield, sometimes you forget that Philippe Coutinho arrived as a relative unknown for a fairly small fee.

When Inter Milan sold the Brazilian to Brendan Rodgers for just £8.5m in 2013, few could have predicted what would have happened next.

But before this starts to sound click-baity, Coutinho emerged as one of the best talents in the Premier League and eventually broke hearts by moving to Barcelona for over £100 million.

During his stay on Merseyside, the Barca man played over 200 times in all competitions and scored 50 goals. But he was more than just his stats, he was the fulcrum of the side and his departure allowed Klopp to spend the money he needed to in order to improve it.

If you think about it, the club owes a lot to Coutinho.
