7.5. It feels as if Nathaniel Clyne has not played in ages for Liverpool, but due to an abundance of injuries, the 27 year-old got to feature at right back. Clyne held his own against a tough opponent in Marcus Rashford, and offered a lot going forward, passing, and getting the ball into spaces down the wing. He even managed to slither into the United box a couple of times, posing as a threat.. Defender. Liverpool. NATHANIEL CLYNE

Liverpool. DEJAN LOVREN. 7. Starting in place of an injured Joe Gomez, Dejan Lovren was solid once again for the Reds. The Croatian did have a couple of shaky passes up the middle of the field, but was great in defense. Degsy even managed to get a point blank chance against David De Gea that he shanked wide of the goal. Dejan will have to be steady while both Gomez and Joe Matip are out with injury, and looks prepared to do so.. Defender

Defender. Liverpool. VIRGIL VAN DIJK. 7.5. Against Lukaku, Virgil van Dijk was imperious. The Dutchman won every header that came down to him, and did not let a United player sneak past his watch. Aside, from just being boss in defense, Virgil wanted to get higher up the pitch on a couple runs and corners, but failed to put one in the net. He got to wear the captain’s armband again on Sunday, increasing his chances at a captaincy position.

Liverpool. ANDY ROBERTSON. 8. Andy Robertson was terrific on the left hand side for the Reds, and caused a whole bunch of trouble for youngster Diogo Dalot. United could not keep up with the Scot’s sprinting runs along with Sadio Mane. Robbo’s delivery was a bit off, especially on the corner kick side, however his job in defense was immpecable. One header he won saved a sure Marouane Fellaini goal, and had the Anfield Road end roaring.. Defender
