Gini Wijnaldum

There are so many good things to say about Gini Wijnaldum. Even though his start to Liverpool was sort of anticlimactic, as he was known to drift off in games and go missing, he has been sensational in the past year.

The Dutch midfielder was a huge part of the workhorse midfield that brought the Reds to the Champion’s League Final, and is a huge factor in this year’s success. His control on the ball is stellar, and for the opposition it is sometimes impossible to try and dispossess him.

The former Newcastle man has scored nine goals at Liverpool, one that included the eventual winning goal in Rome last spring. At a cost of £25 million, Wijnaldum is a great value, and is only getting better,
