Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp wants to harness rage as he prepares his team to play Manchester City on Thursday night in the Premier League.

The Reds can stretch their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with victory over City and Klopp has demanded anger in his pre-match press conference.

Liverpool are currently unbeaten this season and in the past four games have seen off Manchester United and Arsenal with an aggregate score of 8-2.

Klopp has the team working like a well-oiled machine as previous problem players have turned a new leaf. Anfield is buzzing, Melwood is buzzing and if the Reds can beat or draw with City then belief will start to rise about a possible Premier League win.

The German also talked about wanting the win more than Pep Guardiola’s side, who have suffered shock defeats to Leicester City, Crystal Palace and Chelsea.

These losses have allowed the Reds to open the door, while their relentless form has booted it wider. Key players are hitting their straps now as Mohamed Salah is fighting with Harry Kane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the golden boot.

Xherdan Shaqiri is also proving his worth to Klopp and continues to change games when introduced from the substitutes bench.

City may be missing several key players due to injury, which has hampered them as they seek to retain their title. But a side with their resources and talent pool shouldn’t go off the rails like they have when they lose one or two.
