No.5 – Adam Lewis

The first player on the list is left-back Adam Lewis. Lewis has long been favored to be the possible replacement for Alberto Moreno, who may be leaving in the January transfer window. The 19 year-old Liverpool native had been at the club since the U6 level, slowly but surely working his way up the left-back depth chart. His love for the Reds is undeniable as he was quoted saying this to LFC,

"I’m a Liverpool supporter, I want to be a Liverpool player and it was 100 per cent Liverpool for me. It means absolutely everything for me to put on that red shirt every week. Every time I put on that red shirt I get really excited"

Now competing in the Premier League 2 and UEFA Youth League, Lewis has twenty appearances with two goals. Last year, he compiled five goals and eight assists in his campaign which shows his prowess as not only a defender but also a wing-back who can advance and help out the offense.

Jurgen Klopp will love to see his development, especially because he is similar to Andy Robertson, but with a bit more of a goal scoring touch. The Reds have been dying for a solid back-up at left-back for years, after using players like James Milner there because of a lack of depth.

Given all of the injuries this season, do not be surprised to see Adam Lewis in the squad at some point.
