Liverpool loan winger Ryan Kent has been brilliant at Rangers and fans of the Glasgow side want him to stay at Ibrox forever.

Kent joined the ‘Gers on a season long loan deal at the beginning of this current campaign, and despite a slightly slow start has impressed all.

Rush the Kop wanted to find out exactly how the youngster had been doing north of the border, so we asked Inside Ibrox expert Joseph Sinke exactly what he thought of Kent.

With 16 SPL games played, five goals and three assists, it’s clear that the forward is enjoying his time with Steven Gerrard.

Read below to find out Sinke’s thoughts on the deal, how well the lad has been going and whether or not ‘Gers would want him to stay permanently.

How has Kent played this season?

He’s been brilliant. They really missed him when he missed a stretch with injury and has often times been their best midfield player. He got going a little bit slow and took some time to get comfortable with his role but since he got comfortable he’s been excellent. He was possibly Rangers best player when the beat Celtic at the end of December.

Can you see him getting better?

Absolutely. Once again, it took some time for him to really break through, but eventually he settled in and has been brilliant. I think he required some time to gauge exactly when he should be aggressive and when not to.

Early on he often would try and go on a run but be too ambitious and lose the ball. He also has been better on defense as time has gone on, always been a willing defender but he was often wild and out of place.

What are his strengths and weaknesses?

Kent’s biggest strength is his pace. The sheer speed and quickness he has can very quickly change the course of a match. I’ve also always been impressed by how willing he is to get back and defend, he isn’t always a good defender but he’s always a willing one.

He sometimes tries to do too much on offense and doesn’t win a lot of headers because he isn’t that tall.

Could Kent come back and play for Liverpool?

Hard to say. He’s been very high quality at Rangers and his game should fit better with the more wide open Premier league than the slow and congested Scottish Premiership.

The main worry is that I wonder how fast he would look playing in England where there’s a lot more fast players. He also may be a bit undersized.

Would you keep him at Rangers?

Absolutely. He’s been a brilliant player for the club this season and has really come into his own. Supposedly Rangers have reached out to Liverpool about making him a permanent resident of Ibrox as well.

Rangers have often had a real lack of attacking quality in the mid-field and Kent obviously very clearly helps there.
