Liverpool defender Andy Robertson has had Mohamed Salah’s life in the comments section on Instagram.

The club’s official account posted their praise for Robertson and Gini Wijnaldum, to which Salah jumped on the comments and got swiftly burned.

Because when he questioned the left-back’s ability to provide moments of magic, Robertson swiftly countered.

But when you have more assists across all competitions than one of the most deadly strikers in the world, you’re allowed to bite back with force.

"Amazing banter between Mo and Andy on official post of Gini’s goal from LiverpoolFC"

Robbo has six assists in the Premier League and two in the Champions League, taking his total up to eight. Salah, on the other hand, has registered seven in the league and none in Europe – giving the Scot the crown!

Impressively, the former Hull City man is the leading creator across the whole squad and this tells us two things. One, Robertson is improving rapidly and is a danger from wide areas. Two, Jurgen Klopp places a tremendous amount of faith in his full-backs to get up and down the pitch.

On the other side, Trent Alexander-Arnold has three assists in the league but none in the Champions League. But nine goals have been created by defenders, which is a hugely impressive figure and shows off their all-round skill.

And Robertson’s good natured banter with Salah shows a squad who are all good mates and enjoy spending time with each other.

Liverpool player’s socials is full of this sort of thing. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain normally gets involved in the action, while Adam Lallana and Danny Ings were the original squad bromance.

The squad are currently enjoying some warm weather training as they jetted off to Spain after beating Bournemouth 3-0 last weekend. Liverpool don’t play again until next week when the Reds welcome Bayern Munich to Anfield.

And if Robertson and Salah are in as good a form on the field as they are online, Liverpool should have too much for the Germans.
