No. 2 – Bayern Selection Problems

There has been much stress in the Liverpool fanbase about who starts in defense tomorrow night. Joe Gomez is out with injury and Virgil van Dijk is missing with suspension. Dejan Lovren is struggling to be fit leaving Joel Matip as the only center back certain to start.

In all the worry you may have missed news of Bayern’s selection problems. They are missing Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Corentin Tolisso with injury. Thomas Muller is missing for both legs through suspension.

Today it was confirmed that Jerome Boateng has also not travelled with squad meaning the center back partnership will be the slow coaches of Niklas Sule and Mats Hummels.

They are missing a ton of experience in their forward line and have a back four that lacks the pace to deal with the Liverpool front three.

Bayern have a deep squad so they will field a decent eleven. However I cannot see them opting for an attacking lineup at Anfield meaning they will attempt to set up defensively without the ideal personnel they have on their roster.
