No.5 – Anfield Atmosphere

This will appear on every list of reasons we will win a home European game. Forever. There is nowhere like Anfield on a Tuesday night in a Champions League knockout game. And the whole world knows it.

Klopp made a mini-appeal to the fans before last weekend’s game against Bournemouth. The ground had been a little flat in the draw to Leicester and the manager gently encouraged a killer atmosphere for the visit of the Cherries.

The Kop duly obliged; cheering the Reds on to an excellent 3-0 victory. Bayern have struggled away from home this year, losing three times in eleven Bundesliga away games. Liverpool are undefeated at home this season.

The ground will be pumped. A 10-day gap without a Liverpool match will have the crowd hungry to see the Reds and expectant of strong showing. Spurs dispatched BVB 3-0 last week.

If that result is anyway to judge the two leagues then Liverpool could run riot tomorrow night for another famous European victory in front of the Kop.
