Liverpool fans are buckled as Dejan Lovren tries to stay warm at Anfield as the Reds take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Lovren wasn’t fit for the clash and as a result spent it cooped up in one of the corporate boxes, I assume, in order to take in the action.

But for some reason they must have had the aircon set to about -100 because Lovren came out dressed in a weird, Prince style full body scarf that just looked… well. You’ll see.

And if any sane person can have a peek and not feel fully in love with Degsy but also kinda concerned for his health, wealth and wellbeing you’re a pure miracle worker.

Because Lovren has been struggling with those dodgy hammies, and because Virgil van Dijk was out suspended, the central defence took on an appearance that would have given a few sleepless nights.

Joel Matip and Fabinho strod out to the Anfield turf to take on Roberto Lewandowski and his mates in the Champions League without a care in the world, although you hope they didn’t catch a glimpse of Lovren and his shawl at any stage of the contest.

Roberto Firmino nearly joined Degsy in the crook corner but somehow managed to recover from his illness, which seems to be sweeping through the squad. Gini Wijnaldum nearly pooped his pants against Bournemouth and it’s safe to say that we all hope Firmino doesn’t have it that bad.

But when all this is done and dusted will someone please go and give Lovren a cuddle? The poor lamb can’t be too thrilled at having to miss out on a big Champions League game and he looks a bit sad.
