Liverpool star Naby Keita has embraced his true self and stunned all with his mesmerizing display of dribbling against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The Reds drew 0-0 with Bayern despite having 15 shots on goal to the Germans’ nine, but only two of those forced Manuel Neuer into making a save. However, in a win for Liverpool’s scratch defence, Die Roten failed to get a single shot on target.

But it wasn’t the back four who drew praise for a much improved display alongside a show of technical prowess that amazed all.

Guinean midfielder Keita, who has struggled to replicate his best form under Jurgen Klopp, gave a telling reminder of how good he is against a side who know him well.

His performances for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga persuaded Klopp and Michael Edwards to part with £52.75 million for the dynamic midfielder, and against Bayern Keita showed why that time and money had been spent in order to secure his signature.

There was one moment in particular that drew praise across the board. Keita picked the ball up inside his own half, not far away from the centre circle. He then cut inside the first man thanks to a step-over and go, before bamboozling the second with some incredibly quick feet and completed the move by powering away from both.

Despite failing to score, Liverpool won’t mind that result too much. True, the deciding 90 minutes will be played out away from home – but Bayern don’t have an away goal to fall back on and that could make all the difference.
