Liverpool take on Manchester United on Sunday as they look to reclaim top spot in the Premier League, and here’s who we think will make the starting XI!

Over the previous 20 something years, if you read the above headline you would assume it was in reference to yet another Man Utd title. Times are changing. It’s Liverpool that have the serious business to attend to.

Business is exactly the way the Reds should approach this game as well. In many years, Liverpool have entered this game simply wanting to get one over their rivals, with no greater agenda other than perhaps aiding a push for a fourth place finish.

This year is different. Juren Klopp’s men should view this game as a chance to knock off their hardest remaining league fixture. Get three points here, and you are closer to that title is the message.

Thankfully, the injuries are finally starting to ease off, and Klopp should have some headaches figuring out who gets a start.

Let’s take a look at how the Reds will line up at Old Trafford:

Goalkeeper

Alisson

We always include the keeper so that readers have a full 11, but come on, was anybody really expecting Simon Mignolet would get a sniff?

The reality is that Liverpool have a fantastic number one, and fans would probably still pick him ahead of the Belgian if he had to play with one hand tied behind his back.

One thing the Brazilian stopper has hopefully worked on is his footwork with the ball. He is extremely comfortable on most occasions, but against Bayern did look a tough shaky with his delivery.
