Joel Matip has enjoyed a large run at the heart of the Reds defence but his up and down form has meant few Liverpool fans can fully warm to the former Schalke man.<br /> Matip made a couple of good interceptions and defended fairly well, even if Moura caused him problems and his passing was off.

Big Virg did really well to stop Harry Kane making an impact and handled a joint Moussa Sissoko/ Son Heung-min threat with class and skill.<br /> Van Dijk made six clearances, the most of the game, and was a threat at set-pieces.
