No.3 – Adam Lallana

I think you need to accept that Adam Lallana will start at least half of the remaining six Premier League games. Klopp will revert to Milner in the Champions League and probably against Chelsea and Wolves.

Lallana is Klopp’s preferred ‘creative’ midfielder and has more of his trust than Keita and Shaqiri. Both of those players have had curious seasons and neither has featured in 2019 as much as we expected.

I don’t really see what either have done to be sidelined. Keita is a backup and Shaqiri appears to have totally lost the manager’s trust. It is puzzling for the fans. Especially as many would happily relegate Lallana to an afterthought.

I’ve not seen enough from him to justify his inclusion over the other two. The manager has spoken about his level in training as the reason he started him for both games against Burnley and Fulham.

I think the Englishman starts alongside Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk against his old club. The combination of Fabinho on the bench and Lallana in the lineup will mean an epic meltdown on social media. Good job none of that matters. Up the weird midfield Reds!
