Midfield

5. There is no midfielder that Jurgen Klopp trusts more than Gini Wijnaldum. However his long run in the Reds first team – plus 180 minutes for Holland last week – made him look leggy and tired today. He is known for being quiet in away games but Klopp didn’t hesitate to shake things up as <a rel=. Midfielder. Liverpool. GINI WIJNALDUM

Liverpool. FABINHO . 6. Fabinho was restored to the side after being dropped for the Tottenham Hotspur game. His late cameo in that match had fans clambering for him to return to the team. He struggled in the first half with the back line playing too deep and leaving an acre of space for the Brazilian to cover. Improved second half and gives fantastic insurance for the back four.. 7. Not sure any of us though we would have to wait until April to see his first goal for the club but he came in a huge moment. Southampton almost went 2-0 up after VVD cleared over his own bar. Minutes later and the Reds were level after Keita put away Trent’s cross with his head. Delighted for him to open his account and impressed by how determined he is to drive the team forward.. Midfielder. Liverpool. NABY KEITA
