Fastest goal in the history for Liverpool in the Premier League

Naby Keita sparked Liverpool to a lightning start by scoring just 15 seconds after the Referee’s whistle and set up a new club record. It came down to Huddersfield’s defender Gorenc Stankovic who mistakenly handed the ball to Mohammed Salah after a high press by Liverpool.

The Egyptian slid it to Keita and it was fired into the back of the net with a tidy finish from the edge of the box. The previous record was held by Maxi Rodriguez who scored after 32 seconds on the clock against Fulham back in 2011.

It has been a week of quick goals in the Premier League as just two days ago, Shane Long found the back of the net in just seven seconds against in Southampton’s outing against Watford to set up a magnificent Premier League record.

Naby Keita’s goal against the Terriers was his third in all competitions in the month of April and it appears that the Reds’ no.8 form is picking up of late.
