Liverpool lost 3-0 to Barcelona in the Champions League, but how did Fabinho, James Milner and the other midfielders perform? Read our player ratings here!

The Reds started with Naby Keita alongside Milner and Fab, but had to be taken off with a groin injury and was swiftly replaced by Jordan Henderson.

Such is the strength-in-depth at Jurgen Klopp’s disposal that you hardly know which three are going to be picked to man the midfield, and every single one of those players deserves to be included in their current form.

Milner and Fabinho were picked, it seems, to provide some fight and bite at the base of the trio while you’d have expected Keita to bomb forward with strength and precision.

And while the former did their role. and did it well, Henderson’s arrival in the first half would have altered Klopp’s plans a bit.

So read through the slides below to check out the player ratings from the Barcelona game. All ratings are an average of scores taken from the Guardian, the Daily Mail, Sky Sports and the Express.
