Liverpool love signing players from relegated teams, and with Cardiff City the last to drop into the Championship we look at four Jurgen Klopp could buy.

First it was Gini Wijnaldum, brought in from Newcastle United after scoring 11 Premier League goals in his debut season of English football.

Next Andy Robertson marched through the Melwood doors after a decent campaign for Hull City, who failed to avoid the drop.

And finally Xherdan Shaqiri, once of Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, who went down with Stoke City but then popped right back up again as the Reds came calling.

All three have had their impacts in different ways, although Robertson and Wijnaldum have become more established than Shaqiri. Patience is a virtue, however, especially with Jurgen Klopp at the helm and there’s no reason why the Powercube can’t become an important squad member.

Cardiff, Fulham and Huddersfield are the confirmed teams to be relegated from the Premier League this season and they all contain players who should have top flight futures.

So click through the slides to read about four players who Klopp should think about grabbing for those three unlucky sides.
