Klopp is going to have to make a similar position with the goalkeeping position, assuming Simon Mignolet is allow to resume his career elsewhere for 2019/2020.

The German could promote a youngster or sign someone like Cardiff City stopper Neil Etheridge, who has impressed this season with his performances between the sticks for City.

They love Etheridge in Wales and the Philippenes international was named the Cardiff Player of the Season after making 127 saves over the course of the campaign.

Whether or not he’d be happy to drop down in the pecking order remains to be seen, but the opportunity to play for a side like Liverpool doesn’t happen very often and that may sway the thinking of the Charlton and Walsall man.
