Alfie Mawson

Fulham defender Alfie Mawson injured himself by putting on his boots and was involved in one of the worst Premier League defences seen in recent years, but he might not be a bad option for Klopp.

Mawson was called up to the England squad for two friendlies before the World Cup, but saw his career stall with that move to London from Swansea City. Liverpool could be the place where it reignites.

Again, this move could be dependent on one of Dejan Lovren and Joel Matip leaving Anfield. You also have to assume Matthijs de Ligt won’t join the Reds. But Mawson has raw talent and the combination of Klopp and Virgil van Dijk could be key in drawing that out.

Mawson signed for decent fee but then struggled to get games and now that Fulham have gone down you’d think it wouldn’t take a massive offer to prize him away.
