Liverpool beat Barcelona 4-0 to make the Champions League final and Andy Robertson lived in Lionel Messi’s head for 45 minutes.

Robertson was only on the field for a half as the Reds mounted an incredible comeback under Anfield lights, but that was enough for the Scot to royally tick off Messi.

Robbo has been of the best left-backs in Europe this campaign and so it was only right that he be one of the Liverpool lads who frustrated Barca’s talisman the most. Click here to watch the video on Facebook or scroll down.

Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum were unlikely sources of the Reds’ historic win as both grabbed doubles. Wijnaldum used to score goals at Newcastle, but his Magpies days are long gone and Jurgen Klopp has found a different use for the Dutchman.

Origi, on the other hand, appeared to have no Merseyside future and was on the way out. This double way not change that long term view, but it’ll definitely give Europe a reminder of his ability.

Robertson was forced off after just 45 minutes with a calf injury, and the club has confirmed that he’ll go for a scan on Wednesday to find out how serious the blow is.

Klopp initially said he was fairly sure that the injury wouldn’t keep the left-back out for more than a couple of days. The gaffer mentioned it may just be a nerve issue, but those additional scans will tell a more complete story.

Liverpool will want Robertson around for their last two games of the season. First will come Wolves, who the Reds will have to beat just in case Manchester City drop points during their final Premier League game.

Of course after the domestic league is concluded comes the big one: the Champions League final. Robertson has been so important, both going forward and defending, that losing him would be a massive blow.
