No.1 – Home Advantage

Brighton are far better at home than they are away. They have seven losses at the Falmer Stadium which contrasts to 12 losses on the road.

It is interesting to note that Brighton had the 8th best home record in the league last season and only lost four games in their debut season in the Premier League. It is not a crucible that Man City will be frightened of but is no cake-walk either.

The Bluebirds have registered wins at home against Manchester United, Wolves, Everton and West Ham. They also held Arsenal to a draw. They can play.

Man City are not the best away team in the league. That would be Liverpool! The Reds have only lost one away game all season – at Man City, smh – while they have lost three away games this term.

While we were all hoping Brendan Rodgers‘ Leicester City side were going to get something from the Etihad the reality is they have won 18 of their 19 games their this season. I know it took Vincent Kompany‘s world beater to win but they haven’t drawn at home all season and were not likely to do that on the last game of the season there.

If City are to slip it will be away from home. The teams they have lost to away are Chelsea, Newcastle and Leicester.  It is not fanciful to think Brighton can be added to that list.
