No.2 – The Element of Unknown

It is a long time since Man City played at Brighton & Hove Albion. As long as it could be. The Bluebirds opened their debut campaign in the Premier League at home to Man City on the 12th August 2017.

That was over 20 months ago. It is 636 days to be exact. And Brighton have learned a lot about playing in the Premier League since then.

It was a 2-0 win for City back then. However it was not a comfortable victory. City did not take the lead through Aguero until the 70th minute. It then took an own goal from Lewis Dunk to seal victory. And that was with a healthy Kevin de Bruyne and Fernandinho who they will be missing.

How will you feel if it’s 0-0 between these two sides after 70 minutes on Sunday? Hope. That is what you’ll feel.

Only five of the players that started that game will likely start on Sunday. Bernardo Silva and Raheem Sterling came off the bench late on.

It is not a place they have travelled to for years and have a long history of victories and goals. There is an element of the unknown. I’ll take it.
