New data has been released that shows how Liverpool can beat Manchester City even if they don’t win the Premier League table.

Nick Harris from Sporting Intelligence has shown that the Reds will earn more cash over the course of the 2018/2019 domestic season than City, even if they don’t win the league.

Most of that will be done to the fact that Liverpool have been chosen for more TV games than their title rivals. In fact, so absorbing has been the way Jurgen Klopp plays his football that the club was aired more times than any other side.

While this Premier League race may lack the ups and downs of the Bundesliga, with each side winning and winning regularly, it has absorbed many in the quality of the two sides.

City blew away the rest of the competition this season and it’s taken an almost sub-human effort from Liverpool to keep up with Pep Guardiola’s oil-money machine.

Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane and many others have had incredible seasons and are laying the foundations for a successful team in the future. If they can win the Champions League it’ll be real vindication for how incredible this side have been and while the extra cash will help, it’ll be little comfort to many fans.

Liverpool play Wolves and still have to win if they are to have any hope of winning the league, but they must also hope that Brighton can do the unthinkable and beat a City side who appear to have laser focus.

In other news, Guardiola has been City staff from even talking about the club – said the Metro. The Spaniard wants the team to focus on their own game and avoid getting updates on the Liverpool match as the boss has initiated a phone crackdown.
