Taiwo Awoniyi: 6/10

Taiwo Awoniyi has had a really strange season, which you can read about in more detail here, spread across two different spells in Belgium.

His first with Gent was an absolute disaster as he only scored three goals in 22 appearances, but the Nigerian’s second spell at Royal Excel Mouscron produced 11 goals in 16 games.

Royal Excel player Mergim Vojvoda is loving the work of the Nigerian at his club and urged bosses to hand the forward a bumper deal this summer and Awoniyi to spend his whole life with the side.

Work permit issues may force Liverpool to sell Awoniyi this summer – but with a profit of around £12.5 million. That electric performance for Mouscron will have certainly helped the Anfield bean counters.
