Herbie Kane: 8/10

Midfielder Herbie Kane won’t be a name many people will be too familiar with before this season, but the 20-year-old has had an excellent season with Doncaster Rovers.

With seven goals and 10 assists under his belt in all competitions, Kane has experience the ‘perfect’ loan spell – in his own words.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerard rates the youngster, and even if his career development has taken a little longer than others, there’s no reason why Kane can’t go on to feature for the first team.

He trained with the first team before being sent to Donacaster and signed a new deal. Donny fans have been saying that he’s the best player League One has ever seen – while also calling him the best loan signing Rovers have ever made.

Woodburn, Wilson and Grujic might take up column inches with the speculation over their future, but this is another player to keep a keen eye on.
