Anderson Arroyo: 0/10

Young Colombian left-back Anderson Arroyo joined Liverpool from Fortalez and spent the second half of last season playing for Real Mallorca’s B side. He’s pretty much done the same for Gent in Belgium.

The Reds wanted Arroyo to play football in a top division, with the possibility of getting some Europa League minutes under his belt as well. This, said Goal, may aid the defender in securing a work permit.

But Arroyo has not made one single senior appearance this season. Has not even sniffed a senior blade of grass, and the loan has been a failure.

Maybe the Colombian isn’t as good as Academy staff think, or maybe he’s having serious problems integrating with European life. Either way, this has been another poor deal.
