Ben Woodburn: 1/10

Ben Woodburn and Harry Wilson were meant to be the loan deals to watch this season, but only one had a positive experience. It wasn’t Woodburn.

The 19-year-old already has 10 caps for Wales, and that’s more international appearances than games played for Sheffield United.

Woodburn only featured seven times and was eventually recalled by Klopp. Blades boss Chris Wilder said the youngster had to score more, but that’s tough when you’re not getting a go.

Loan moves for young players can be tough to judge, and to be fair to Wilder he got Sheffield up by sticking to his tried and tested combinations. Still, it’s been a wasted season for Woodburn and a poor loan decision by the club.
