Have you ever seen a better pair of full backs in Red than Andrew Robertson & Trent Alexander-Arnold? I haven’t and I’m pretty old. This duo has been crucial to Liverpool’s success over the last 12 months.
They both possess incredible pace and technique and have found their eyes for a killer pass. Robertson has laid on 13 assists this season, an incredible feat for a defender. Yet, Alexander-Arnold has pushed past him to 15 assists.
28 goals resulting from our full backs. That is twenty more than the Spurs pairing of Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose.
Despite impressing in previous seasons the current Tottenham full backs are considered by most Spurs fans to be their biggest liability. Neither are highly proficient defenders and are not really contributing to the attacking verve of the side.
They are not bad players but it is the weakest element of the North Londoner’s team while those positions are area of considerable strength for Liverpool. It is a huge advantage for the Reds in this game. And it’s not the only one…
