Don’t discount Divock

On the 1st of June, the biggest mistake Klopp’s men can make is to take overconfidence from the Premier League point gap between the two teams, as Tottenham have continuously proven this year just how capable they are during major moments.

The potential boost of a recovering Harry Kane is creating an air of uncertainty heading into the game in Madrid.

However, providing the three-week wait between games doesn’t produce a dangerous amount of rust and the team manage to conjure the brand of free-flowing, attacking football they’re capable of, they will be expected to put the Spurs defence under a great deal of pressure and win this Champions League final.

My personal expectation is that they will see an extremely close game. Due to the sheer hunger of this Tottenham side, the battle may go down to the wire. On the other side though, most of the Liverpool side will still be nursing stiches from last year’s blunderful punch in the mouth in Kiev and will likely find themselves more composed at the highest stage.

If a game winner is in play, I’d put Firmino forward as my predicted scorer, but if the do-or-die occasions of this season are anything to go by, put your money on the inevitable Origi hat-trick.

Ultimately, I believe that Jurgen that this riveting, committed football team will bring home the club’s 6th European Cup in June, bookending their best season in recent memory with some well-deserved silverware.

2-1 Liverpool win.
