Europe’s finest have already been defeated

The Merseysiders have made it to the second successive Champions League final and it’s itself a well and truly commendable achievement.

Liverpool would perhaps grace the stage of Wanda Metropolitano as much different animal than what they were last year. Backed with a phenomenal Premier League campaign, Reds are now tuned to play at higher stages.

One incredible fact which can’t be overlooked is the Reds have defeated champions of three big European Leagues: Paris Saint-Germin where Firmino scored last gasp winner, Bayern Munich where Mane Magic stunned Allianz Arena and Barcelona, where of course one of the greatest Champions League comebacks was witnessed by the jumping Anfield.

The bench strength is seemingly the major improvement from the last year’s final in Kiev. The Wanda Metropoliatno showdown offers them with a chance to conclude the remarkable season memorably and it doesn’t seem they will let it sleep easily this time now.

Liverpool has pulled out a league double over Tottenham but since then Tottenham’s fortune has turned. The story is quite a different one. The Londoners have remarkably eliminated Manchester City out of this very competition while they have pulled out a sensational remon-ta-da against Ajax to make it to the final.

They do have a strong attacking unit consisting of Heung-Min Son, Lucas Maura, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, and Cristian Eriksen. But on June 1, they face arguably the best rearguard of Europe which has been in blistering form all season long and also has successfully resisted likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Robert Lawendowski and so on.

It would be a cracker, no doubt, an extravaganza of end to end football, a showcase of all Engish tussle but however, it would be Klopp’s Reds who would edge Pochettino’s Spurs to clinch their 6th UEFA Champions League title.

They have dreamt about winning the major silverware all season and they are now just 90 minutes away to get their hands on shiny silver.

Final Prediction: Spurs 1 -3 Liverpool
