A new mural featuring Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in his iconic zen goal celebration pose has been spotted and shared on Reddit.

The Reds forward first pulled it off when he hit an incredible goal during the 2-0 win against Chelsea – and now it’s been spotted painted on a wall in a far removed corner of the Earth.

Reddit claims this is a wall in Cairo, Egypt, but that’s impossible to verify so let’s leave that sort of speculation at the door. What it does show, however, is that Salah’s influence is widespread and that’s helping Liverpool as well.

Salah pulled off the tree pose in celebration, and when asked about why after the game he claimed it was just because he’s a yoga man.

But could it have deeper significance? The Mirror tracked down one yoga teacher who reckoned it could, although whether you believe Emma Stubbs and the tabloid is up to you.

According to Stubbs, the fact that Salah chose that specific pose could be seen as his way of saying his future belongs to Anfield as well as honouring his team and mates.

It would be interesting to see if the Egyptian King ever got that deep with it, but it’s clearly good for Liverpool if the lad is intending to stay.

Salah may have scored less Premier League goals than he did last season, but the former Chelsea man still came out as a joint Golden Boot winner and helped fire the Reds to a Champions League win.

Despite missing out on domestic triumph, that still classes itself as a good season and the King will be ready to come back with the same sort of energy in 2019/2020.
