Adrian

Is this the deal that would make the most sense? After spending six years at West Ham, Adrian is definitely the most experience of the four goalkeepers profiled here and has played 125 Premier League games.

The 32-year-old is also available on a free transfer after rejecting three new deals from the Hammers, said Football London, so it’s clear that he’s after something the London side can’t give them.

What could that be? More money? More security? At his age Adrian will have been unlikely to have been offered a decent length deal, but would Liverpool be more willing? Somehow you doubt it.

Apparently the Spaniard turned down £55,000 a week, which is a lot of money for a reverse goalkeeper to be on. Maybe Edwards can change his mind.

The Reds do have something West Ham can’t give though: the chance at winning trophies and the lure of playing for a Champions League winner and top flight runner up.
