Liverpool are approaching the start of the 2019/2020 season as they play Norwich City on Friday. Here are six benchwarmers who could have a big impact.

The Reds will use the full extend of their squad across a season that will see them challenge for Premier League, Champions League, European Super Cup, Club World Cup, FA Cup and League Cup honours.

Manager Jurgen Klopp hasn’t signed a single outfield first team player, with reserve goalkeeper Adrian the only incoming. That means he intends to use the resources already at his disposal.

The Community Shield fixture has already shown this to be true as Sadio Mane continued his post-international duty rest and Divock Origi started on the left-hand side.

Despite some fan discontent at this strategy, the German does have a fair few options available to him in the usual suspects aren’t performing at their highest level.

From full internationals to wonderkids to older footballers transitioning their way down the pitch, Klopp can chose from a variety of benchwarmers to mix things up.

And as we saw with Origi last season, sometimes they can have a big impact. So click through the slides below to read about six back-up players who could do a lot for Liverpool this season.
