Liverpool beat Norwich City 4-1 in the Premier League on Friday night in a game that included an assist record, a double wall and Divock Origi mayhem.
The Reds won thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Divock Origi, Virgil van Dijk and an OG from Canaries defender Grant Hanley.
There were a few interesting moments from the game that was high on action and talking points anyway, from Alisson Becker’s injury to the midfield Jurgen Klopp selected.
Becker was struck down with an achilles problem in the first half, which handed new signing Adrian an Anfield debut a lot sooner than he would have anticipated.
Scroll down to see three moments from the game that you may have missed in the chaos that was Liverpool’s 4-1 win over Norwich.
The double wall and another rule change
Goal kicks aren’t the only thing to be tinkered with this season, as the rule surrounding free-kicks and defensive walls have been changed.
Attacking teams can no longer put their own players in a defensive wall if that wall contains more than three defenders.
Not only that, but they have to be one meter away from the wall. So Liverpool did something novel, but something we might see copied as the season continues.

Alexander-Arnold new assist record
Trent Alexander-Arnold can’t stop breaking records, and now he’s got another one under his belt. That delicious ball to Origi was his fifth Premier League assists in five games for Liverpool – that’s never been done before.
The right-back got 12 last season and now has started the 2019/2020 with a bang. He’s got all the skills to match or better that number again, and that range of passing is just out of this world.

Origi mayhem
This one is a bit of a weird stat, but aren’t those the ones that we love the most? Origi has now scored on every single day of the week for Liverpool.
Good on ya, Divock.
His headed goal was a fine example of the type of inside forward play that Klopp will really like, and that movement to get in between the lines was excellent.
Liverpool take on Chelsea in the European Super Cup on Wednesday. Stay tuned for more record breaking achievements!
