Klopp v Lampard

This is perhaps the biggest factor that means Liverpool will hammer Chelsea on Wednesday. The Reds have one of the best (I’d sat THE best) managers in the world. The Blues have a rookie.

Frank Lampard has precisely one year of management experience under his belt. A season with Derby County in the Championship where they lost in the play-off final.

There is no way Lampard would be considered even a fourth or fifth tier candidate for the Chelsea job if he wasn’t a club legend.

No-one knows if he will be any good as a manager and Stamford Bridge is not the easiest place to learn and make mistakes. They change managers every year or two over there and he will be doing exceedingly well to be in the job come August 2020.

There is so much that goes into preparing for a game like this; from the tactics, opposition scouting, practical arrangements, training etc. There is no way Lampard will get everything right on his first attempt despite his experience as a player.

I expect Chelsea to be out-thought, out-prepared and out played by Jurgen’s Reds tomorrow.
