Five reasons Liverpool will destroy Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup

Istanbul
Don’t know if you’ve heard but Liverpool have some history in Istanbul. Perhaps the greatest night in the club’s history happened in this city – though 4-0 against Barcelona last season is a genuine contender.
None of the players are the same as that night 14 years ago and we’ve been through Roy Hodgson, Kenny’s second coming and Brendan Rodgers in the dugout since then.
But it won’t be the players and manager struck by the city, it will be the fans. Klopp points to the relationship between the fans and players as key to the team’s progression and success in recent seasons.
There will be a number of fans whose memories of that miracle will be evoked and drawn upon in the stadium on Wednesday. While there are younger fans who will view a trip to the Turkish city as a pilgrimage, a chance to walk the same streets that hosted the delirious supporters of (almost) a generation ago.
Liverpool fans do not need more incentive to be hyped for a European fixture, but being back in the city may give them a little extra something and that it turn may translate to this generation’s heroes on the pitch.
