No.2 – Unbreakable Anfield

Liverpool don’t lose at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp. It has been 41 games since the Reds suffered a league defeat in front of the Kop and while that streak will break eventually it won’t happen this Saturday.

The Aura of Anfield has been much discussed and written about. Opposing manager and players will speak in awe about the power of the fans in that stadium.

For most of the Premier League era that aura was not permanent. There were many games and occasions that we would see it – able to recall it like a ghost from the past. But it was not tangible every week.

Klopp has fixed that. Anfield is once again the most feared and revered stadium in the world. The 4-0 overturning of Barcelona in the Champions League last season showed the world that there is no place Anfield and no club like Liverpool.

Saturday will be an evening game against a long-time rival. Despite the embryonic stage of the season. Every Kopite knows how important every point is against this historic Man City side in the Premier League. The building will be shaking and the Gooners will be quaking.
