The transfer window has finally closed and Liverpool can’t do any more deals until January. Click here to read about this summer’s winner and losers.

Michael Edwards worked overtime during the deadline day and managed to move out some of the deadwood. Bobby Duncan (Fiorentina) and Ryan Kent (Rangers) both got the moves they craved.

But the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Those transfers could end up being cursed, or they could be the best thing that’s ever happened to the players.

Negotiations are always tricky, especially with Edwards leading them, and that means that sometimes players won’t get the move away that they want. Or maybe no replacement can be found and they’re forced to sit and stew on the bench.

And this window, like all the others before it and all the others that’ll come after it, has given Liverpool winners and losers.

So scroll down and click through the slides to see those who have come out of this summer looking all rosey and those who have done badly out of it.

We’ll start with the winners.

Ryan Kent

Ryan Kent must be sitting up in Glasgow, or wherever he is right now, puffing his cheeks out in relief with a massive grin on his face. Because Kent finally got his move, just when it looked like he wouldn’t.

The Express is reporting that Liverpool will earn £7 million from the player – who’s transfer was announced moments after the clock ticked down on the transfer window.

For large parts of the summer it looked like Kent would be locked in limbo. Leeds United were going to sign the player, especially when Kemar Roofe departed, then all of a sudden they weren’t.

There were also rumours of the forward going on strike in order to force a deal through, and whether or not that had any impact on this deal is tough to know.

But he eventually got his transfer back to the first club who really valued his ability. Rangers boss Steven Gerrard trusted him, chased him and finally got his man. It’s a big win for all three parties.
