The Reds will be expecting three points from the game that could see Jonjo Shelvey return to his old stomping ground, but let’s face it, we all nearly forget that Shelvey even played for us in the first place.
It’ll be interesting to see how much, if any, rotation Jurgen Klopp decides to go with on Saturday with the knowledge that Napoli await in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Our predicted XI takes into account the fact that we think Klopp will mix and match a little bit for the Toon. There are plenty of players who need a few minutes in their legs and a few who had busy international breaks. It just makes sense.

The defence pretty much picks itself at the moment, and despite the fixtures coming thick and fast our writer Neelabhra Roy doesn’t think Klopp will stray too far from the back four that have performed so well over the past few games.
