That United team from back in the day was pretty good, wasn’t it? But guess what – it wasn’t good enough to stop some divine intervention from Fowler.

The forward took the ball in the inside left channel, beat Gary Neville for pace and strength before chipping a beauty over the onrushing Schmeichel.

It all came from a long but well placed pass, kinda similar to the one James Milner pulled off against Leicester for Sadio Mane to score.

Fowler was such an instinctive finisher and this really showed him at his best. As a Liverpool lad it would have been even more satisfying as he stuck one past the old enemy.
