Fabio Aurelio Liverpool vs Manchester United goal

Fabio Aurelio at Old Trafford

I think out of all of these goals it’s the ones scored by the unlikely sources that are the best. You wouldn’t have banked on Fabio Aurelio netting from a free-kick like this and that’s past of what makes it so good.

Aurelio just took a couple of steps and absolutely pezzled this from about 30 yards out in a hit that probably even surprised himself. Again Van der Sar had no chance, the Dutch legend didn’t really have a lot of luck did he?

The Brazilian only scored four goals throughout his six seasons at Anfield and he played 134 games – despite that he’s kinda a forgotten player and maybe that’s because only once did he make more than 20 league appearances in a single campaign.

Aurelio did have his time damaged by persistent knee problems and that ruined his return to Brazil to play for Gremio after his Reds’ contract expired.
