Liverpool fans are very suspicious of the latest Man City injury news after Pep Guardiola pronounces Ederson as unavailable for Sunday’s clash.

Liverpool fans have been keeping a close eye on the Man City injury reports ahead of the two sides top-of-the-table Premier League clash on Sunday. However, they are very suspicious of the news of Ederson given by Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard has claimed that Ederson will not play at Anfield. Mark Ogden of ESPN has the Man City manager quoted as saying:

"“He’s not able to play. I don’t know when [he will be]. We have another top keeper. Claudio Bravo can do it too. We won the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, thanks to Claudio. He is an exceptional keeper.”"

Although suspicious fans think this is all mind-games and that he will actually start the game. The Premier League doesn’t have official designations like most US sports have. That allows managers to say whatever they want about a player’s availability.

I thought the era of Premier League ‘mind games’ was over after Alex Ferguson retired and Jose Mourinho and Arsene Wenger are out of the league.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has ruled out a couple of his players; Xherdan Shaqiri and Joel Matip will miss the visit of Man City, though both absences were expected.

Jordan Henderson was the only other question mark at the beginning of the week but the captain should be fully fit and ready to go. He will likely be recalled to the first team along with Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum in Klopp’s preferred midfield trio for big games.
