Liverpool take on Everton in the Merseyside Derby on Wednesday night, here are three reasons why the Reds will batter the leaderless Blues.

Sunday’s loss to Leicester City dumped Marco Silva’s side towards the relegation zone and that’s left them in a state of turmoil with the manager’s future at the club in serious trouble.

Despite spending vast amounts, Everton are no closer to breaking their glass ceiling than they were under David Moyes and that gives all of us great joy.

Liverpool are flying in the league and have only dropped two points all season, away to Manchester United, and shouldn’t be troubled by the Toffies. But this is the Merseyside Derby and in many ways the form guide goes out the window, even in the Reds record is far superior.

Everton have had a day less than Jurgen Klopp’s team to prepare for the game, which may have an effect on fitness levels towards the closing stages of the game. That said, Liverpool’s win against Brighton on Saturday wasn’t an easy affair and required a lot more work than was anticipated to get the job done.

But the result should still be the same: a win for the red half of Merseyside. Click through the slides below to read three reasons why we’ll batter the Blues.
