Liverpool eased past Bournemouth 3-0 on Saturday but injuries have started to take their toll on the squad.

After rotating heavily against Everton on Wednesday, Jurgen Klopp was up to it again as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was picked to start on the left wing and popped up with the first goal of the night before Naby Keita and Mohamed Salah wrapped things up with their clinical strikes.

Despite being so crucial to the side this season, Klopp decided to leave Sadio Mane out of the side entirely as the Senegal international was rested ahead of the Champions League game on Tuesday night against Salzburg.

Jordan Henderson was brought back into the team and Joe Gomez was reinstalled at right-back despite an unconvincing showing against Napoli in the same position.

Bournemouth failed to put up much of a fight as they sunk to their fifth Premier League defeat in a row. Despite a promising start to the campaign, the Cherries are now beset by injury problems and face a challenging Christmas period if they want to avoid being sucked into the relegation zone.

Liverpool continue to rack up the wins and are now 14 points ahead of Manchester City, who lost to Manchester United on Saturday night. See below for five things we learned as the Reds eased past a poor Bournemouth side.
