Liverpool sent their fans home full of festive joy after beating Leicester City 4-0 away to the King Power stadium as Mohamed Salah showed his strength.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had a part to play in all four goals as he claimed two assists, delivered the corner that led to another and scored the fourth.

His crossing was on point for the full 90 minutes and Roberto Firmino made the most of it – scoring with his head after a delicate chipped ball and then with his feet following a hammer blow of a driven cross.

James Milner stepped up and converted the penalty after defender Çağlar Söyüncü handled an Alexander-Arnold corner, before the right-back hit the perfect drive from outside the area to score the final goal.

Naby Keita started alongside Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Hendeson as injuries continued to play their part in Jurgen Klopp’s team selection, and we all need to hope Henderson is okay after he left the field and was spotted with an ice pack taped to his shin.

The win sends Liverpool 12 points clear of Leicester in second, although Manchester City could move above the Foxes with a win at Wolves on Sunday. The Premier League is now firmly in our own hands, so click through the slides to read about five things we learned from the game.
