Liverpool beat Wolves 1-0 to establish true supremacy at the summit of the Premier League. These are five things we learned from the win.

Roberto Firmino was fresh off the back of scoring two against Leicester City – a double that took his league tally to six – but was unable to hit the back of the net for a second game in a row as the Midlands side were able to shackle the Brazilian.

Thankfully Sadio Mane was able to do what he does best and hit the back of the net a few minutes before the half time whistle to give the Reds the lead. It was an advantage that Jurgen Klopp’s team would cling on to until the 90 was complete as they extended their lead at the top of the Premier League.

The games are coming thick and fast but Klopp doesn’t seem to be overly troubled by that. While Brendan Rodgers made nine changes for the Foxes game yesterday, the Liverpool gaffer made just one as Adam Lallana replaced Naby Keita.

Lallana had a good game as he provided Keita with some competition in the engine room, while Joe Gomez put in another fine performance and will ensure Dejan Lovren will find it tough to walk back into the starting side.
