Georginio Wijnaldum, Adam Lallana, Naby Keita
Jordan Henderson has been brilliant this year but he should have a rest here and let Keita continue his run of matches. We will need Henderson’s leadership for the FA Cup game against Everton – a match that will be spicy, especially after the trouncing at the start of December.
But a man who might be able to make the most of circumstances outside of his control is Lallana. He played really well against Wolves and has earned the right to retain his place at the base of midfield and could feature in the next two games.
His contract expires at the end of the season and whether or not he stays, it would be nice to see Lallana sign off his time at Anfield with a few good performances.
Joining those two is Georginio Wijnaldum, the standard midfielder in the Klopp engine room. If Henderson doesn’t start, Wijnaldum will and he offers the ability to keep things tight or the nous and knack of arriving in the box at the right time to steal an important goal.
Options are short right now, but he would be in the side regardless of whether Klopp had a full contingent or not.
