Liverpool eased their way to a 1-0 win over the Tottenham Hotspurs. Who stood out for the Reds, and who didn’t so much?

With a 1-0 win over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham, Liverpool now sits 16 points ahead of second-place Leicester City at the top of the Premier League table. And the Reds have a game in hand to boot.

It wasn’t always comfortable for Liverpool. While Jurgen Klopp’s men were dominant in the first half, the second half was a different story. Tottenham pressed a progressively tired-looking Liverpool squad.

Shots were 8-6 for Liverpool through the first half, through the second 45 it was 5-4 in favor of the Spurs. If not for some good defensive play and a little bit of luck, a typical 1-1 Mourinho draw might have been the outcome.

Looking back, how well did Liverpool’s staring roster play by giving them a grade from 1 to 10.

Keeper

Keeper. . Alisson. 7. He only had to make a single save in the first half. It must be difficult to stay focused when so much of the action is up at the other end of the pitch, but that’s why Liverpool paid so much for the Brazilian keeper. He’s one of the best. In the second half, when Tottenham came alive, Alisson was still as sharp as a knife, making three saves to keep the clean sheet. His only true test was a Serge Aurier attempt at the start of the second half that the Brazilian keeper did well to get in front of and keep between his hands.
With a 74 percent pass rating, Alisson was a great asset from the back to get the play going for Liverpool.
